Local Control

It seems that many school districts these days are allowing bigger entities (state department of education, federal government, the United Nations) to come in and run school curriculums.  So much for local control.

It would be good for parents to get more involved in the education of their children.  But, the trend today in the U.S. is for Big Brother to “take charge” of everything and for Big Nanny to do the “care-taking.”  When all local control is lost (along with rights and liberties) perhaps people will realize what they’ve lost for not caring enough to get involved.
